Overview:

Irontech, a prominent smartphone manufacturer, approached us with a challenge: to create professional media visuals for their Amazon product listing that would differentiate their products from competitors and attract potential customers. To accomplish this goal, our team conducted extensive research and brainstorming sessions to develop a comprehensive strategy.

We started by placing the products in a lifestyle setting that would resonate with customers, which involved creating images and videos that showcased the products in use. We also included informative infographics that highlighted the key features and benefits of the products, making it easier for customers to understand the value proposition.

Additionally, we created detailed video tutorials for installation that made the process of using the products straightforward and intuitive. By providing this level of support, we aimed to build trust with potential customers and assure them that Irontech’s products were the right choice.

Our collaborative efforts, combined with our attention to detail, resulted in a visually captivating product listing that successfully stood out among competitors. The high-quality visuals and comprehensive information provided helped attract customers, and ultimately boosted sales for Irontech.

Overview:

We once had an e-commerce client who sold white label head massager products on Amazon. They approached us with a request to create professional product images that would stand out in an oversaturated market.

After conducting research, we discovered that nearly all head massager products on Amazon looked similar and had the same photography style. We suggested using better lighting and adding an artificial shadow to make our client’s product stand out from the competition.

Additionally, we recommended color-swapping product variations in Photoshop instead of reshooting each product individually to save time and money.

By tilting the product upwards and adding an artificial shadow, we differentiated our client’s product from the competition. This gave it a premium look and feel, allowing our client to charge a higher price point. With these new images, our client was able to dominate the Amazon head massager product listings until the competition caught up.

Competitive Analysis

We found that the majority of images on Amazon were facing downwards, and not a single one had an artificial shadow to provide depth and dimension to the image.

White Background Photography:

We encountered a common challenge where traditional flat lay images on a tabletop did not provide an appealing perspective for the product. By experimenting with alternative angles, we discovered that shooting the product vertically against a backdrop of boxes showcased it in a more favorable perspective. In post-production, we removed the boxes, flipped the head massager upside down, polished its appearance, and added an artificial shadow to infuse dimensionality. This strategic approach transformed the product’s presentation, resulting in more captivating and visually appealing images.

Overview:

Our client, an upcoming outdoor products company, approached us with a crucial goal – to establish a relatable brand image for their product line. Dissatisfied with their existing visual media assets, which they found to be excessively polished and lacking in effective communication of their product’s value, they sought our expertise. Their goal was to create product explainer videos that were relatable, had a less polished approach, and conveyed an authentic feel.

The Challenge

We were tasked with a two-week deadline to find and cast a family of six residing in a nice, spacious home. Additionally, we were responsible for producing all the media content and delivering it to their marketing team, allowing them a minimum of two days to prepare advertising materials for their highly anticipated once-a-year Black Friday sale.

Finding a Family + Home

We approached the project by immediately starting the casting process to find a family of six with a nice home in the Fort Lauderdale area. We utilized our contacts and posted a casting call on social media. While searching for potential families, we worked on pre-production tasks such as understanding the client’s product, developing a storyline, and gathering props. Facing a mid-week challenge of not finding suitable families, we reached out to a previous client who had a big family and a nice house, despite their busy schedules. They agreed to be part of the project under the condition that we schedule the production for the following weekend when they were available. The situation added additional pressure as we now had to shoot and edit the entire project within a few days.

Coaching the Talent

To capture the product talking shots, our talent consisted of non-professional actors. Before the shoot, I spent time with them, opening up the products and discussing how these items would improve their lives as homeowners and overcome common obstacles. Once the talent felt confident and ready, we began filming.

An Unexpected Obstacle

On the day of production, we faced an unexpected challenge. We had planned for a pleasant outdoor shoot, but a thunderstorm disrupted our plans. Since our products were designed for outdoor use, this was a significant setback. However, with quick thinking and a realization about the brand’s message of working smart (as they were called Lazy Pro), I had an idea. What if we set up the tent inside the living room?

Our Approach

Due to the rainy weather, we had to adjust our shooting plans. Instead of filming outdoors, we made the decision to set up the tent indoors and create a designated talking space with Lazy Pro branded merchandise. This strategic move resolved the logistical issue and added a light-hearted, family-friendly vibe to the videos, perfectly aligned with the brand’s identity. It successfully captured the audience’s attention and effectively showcased the products in a cozy indoor setting, evoking relatability and warmth.

During the shoot, our main focus was on reviewing the products, conducting engaging unboxing sessions, and discussing their unique features and challenges. To capture additional footage (b-roll shots), we scheduled a 5AM Monday morning shoot that accommodated the family’s work schedule. Despite the tight timeline, we remained dedicated to meeting the deadline.

As soon as we returned to the studio, our team immediately began video editing to stay on track with the urgent timeline. This allowed us to identify any missing shots and create a list for the Monday shoot. Our ultimate goal was to deliver the completed videos well ahead of the client’s Black Friday sale.

Outcome

The outcome of the project was exceptionally successful. Not only did we deliver the videos to the client in record time, but they were able to promote them effectively for their upcoming Black Friday sale.

By meeting the client’s deadline, we enabled them to capitalize on the videos’ impact and maximize their marketing efforts during this crucial sales period. The videos showcased the products in a relatable, real-life setting, featuring a humorous and endearing Lazy Pro family.

The heartwarming content resonated with the audience, generating positive engagement and contributing to the client’s overall success during the Black Friday promotion.

YAD Electronics was a client specializing in used smartphone electronics wholesale. With much success over the last decade, they primarily worked through word of mouth and personal relationships.

However, we proposed the idea of opening up an e-commerce website, which would bring in a whole new stream of revenue. By selling in lower quantity sizes, such as 10 iPhones instead of 100, they could enjoy higher profit margins similar to retail. Additionally, this approach would allow us to track all of their marketing and advertising efforts and narrow down on specific audiences and regions that were driving their sales.

This scalable approach proved to be a significant improvement over traditional methods such as word of mouth, knocking on doors, and printing flyers. With the help of our agency, YAD Electronics was able to successfully establish their online presence and increase their revenue potential.

Building Trust with Social Proof:

 To build credibility, we prominently displayed recognized product brand logos on the website. This helped instill confidence in visitors and conveyed the brand’s association with trusted names. Additionally, we highlighted the company’s history and included trusted seller logo icons, further enhancing trust and credibility.

Personalized Branding for Differentiation:

To stand out from competitors, we created a visually appealing product template. It featured wholesale graphics of crates alongside product images, indicating that the brand sells in larger quantities. Each product image displayed a quantity number and prominently showcased the Yad Electronics branding. This unique presentation helped the brand differentiate itself and gain customer attention.

Capturing Visitor Information:

To nurture customer relationships, we made it mandatory for visitors to register in order to view pricing information. This allowed us to capture valuable contact information and establish direct communication channels for future marketing efforts. By capturing visitor information, we could provide targeted promotions and drive repeat visits and sales.

Custom Product Template:

By implementing a professional template, our client gained the flexibility to shoot candid photos using their iPhone. With the template readily available, they could easily plug these photos into the designated spaces, eliminating the need to wait for professional photography production. This efficient approach allowed them to showcase their products quickly on the website, ensuring a seamless and timely sales process. The combination of candid photos and the visually appealing template enhanced the brand’s authenticity and helped attract customer attention, ultimately leading to increased sales and customer satisfaction.

Video Production + Facebook Ads

Our focus was on producing an engaging promotional video for OEM Apple iPhone chargers, one of our client’s best-selling products. The video aimed to showcase the superior quality of these chargers in comparison to knockoff brands. Leveraging the power of social media, we strategically set up the videos as Facebook ads through their sister company, JAM Wholesale, to maximize exposure and reach the target audience effectively.

We partnered with IVICY, a premium car seat cover manufacturer, to elevate their brand image and attract more viewers to their website and social media accounts. Our team produced a short, relatable demo video and professional lifestyle images to showcase their product and its features.

Our goal was to create visually stunning content that would engage and inform potential customers. We used our expertise to capture the product in use and highlight its benefits through lifestyle images. The short demo video was created to provide viewers with an informative and relatable introduction to the product.

To further expand the brand’s reach, we created user-generated content (UGC) with our actor to enhance IVICY’s social media presence. The UGC helped to amplify the brand’s message and increase their following on platforms such as Instagram and TikTok.

As a result of our collaboration, IVICY was able to strengthen their brand image and attract more customers to their website and social media accounts. Our content helped to showcase the quality and benefits of their product and created a strong visual connection with their target audience.
